Introduction
We are seeking a Global Category Manager to join our strategic purchasing team. As Global Category Manager, you lead and develop related activities linked to our factories worldwide. You contribute proactively to reach the goals but also to take the business to the next level by developing and optimizing the existing sourcing process.
The demand for Pump Business line's services is very good, this recruitment is an effect of that, but also that a lot of effort is being put into making the already successful business within Pumps Business line even better. In this position, you will report to Head of procurement, Pump Operations. are happy to offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options.
Travel is included in this position, to suppliers and our factories globally, on monthly to quarterly basis.

What you'll do
- Be responsible for supplier selection, price , quality and capacity within the category
- Coordinate regional sourcing activities
- Identify and negotiate commercial terms with new suppliers
- Develop collaboration possibilities and identify alternative suppliers for critical products and markets
- Do continuous and proactive development work
- Collaborate closely with contracted suppliers
- Continuously inform internal stakeholders
- Be responsible for regulatory compliance
Who you are
For the role of Global Category Manager, we are looking for an experienced strategic buyer with technical knowledge and many years of experience in category-based procurement from the manufacturing industry is desirable.
You are driven by doing business but also profitability optimization and improvement work. Your communicative ability, structured manner and analytical skills combined with a focus on results and solutions means that you can effectively contribute to progress, alone or together with others.
The job is largely carried out in English, so your English, speaking and writing skills need to be very good. Swedish in speech and writing is not a direct requirement, but it will make the everyday life easier. You are a familiar with ERP systems, purchasing and sourcing tools, Excel and other Office programs. Specific experience from work in purchasing-related modules in SAP is desirable.
